You pay £166 once (25% off the £222 you'd pay booking them separately) and that covers three appointments at our Gosforth clinic: the well-being scan, the 4D Baby Scan, and the growth and presentation scan. All three are paid for in full upfront to secure the saving, then you schedule each appointment as your pregnancy progresses, so you're not locked into fixed dates months ahead.
The bundle is paid in full on the day you book, that's the condition for the 25% saving. You don't have to fix all three appointment dates there and then: lock in the first scan, then the reception team in Bakers Yard will help you schedule scans two and three for weeks that line up with your NHS appointments and your work diary.
Booked separately at our published prices the three scans come to £222. The bundle is £166, a 25% saving of £56. The clinical content is identical either way.
3D is a still image stitched from many 2D slices; it looks like a photograph of your baby's face. 4D adds time, so the image moves in real time on the screen during the scan. The 4D Baby Scan in this bundle uses HD Live rendering on the GE Voluson, which adds soft directional lighting so the cheeks and chin look more natural.
Babies wriggle, sleep, hide their faces. It happens, particularly during the 4D slot. If your sonographer can't get a clean view of the face, you're invited back for a one-time complimentary re-scan within two weeks (Monday to Friday, subject to availability). It's a quiet annoyance, not a disaster.

No, and we'd be uncomfortable if anyone implied otherwise. Private scans are non-diagnostic reassurance scans; keep going to every NHS appointment. If anything significant comes up during your private scan, we'll explain it clearly and write to your midwife or GP so the NHS pathway can pick it up.
Up to 9 guests per scan; the Gosforth room is the bigger of our two clinics, and we run two 46-inch LED TVs plus a projector wall so everyone has a clear sight line. Most families bring different combinations to each scan: partner first, parents next time, the older sibling for the final visit.
