Early Reassurance Scan – 12 to 14 Weeks
Our Early Reassurance Scan is designed for parents who would like additional reassurance and an opportunity to see their baby's continued growth and development before their routine NHS dating scan. At this stage, your baby is more developed, making it possible to assess growth, observe movement, and provide reassurance regarding ongoing wellbeing.
Our experienced sonographers confirm the fetal heartbeat, assess fetal movement, take growth measurements appropriate for gestation, confirm the number of babies, and carry out a general wellbeing assessment.
Appointments are available without a GP referral and can often be booked on the same day or next day. The scan costs £68 and includes a sonographer report, 4 free A6 keepsake prints, a private digital gallery by email, and the opportunity to discuss your findings.
Please note: if, on scanning, your pregnancy is found to be under 12 weeks, the £78 Early Dating Scan fee applies from 9 weeks, or the £88 Early Viability Scan fee under 9 weeks. If you are experiencing pain, vaginal bleeding, dizziness, shoulder tip pain, fainting, or any other concerning symptoms, you should seek medical advice from your GP, midwife, NHS 111, local Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit (EPAU), or emergency services as appropriate.
Please note: if, on scanning, your pregnancy is found to be under 12 weeks, the £78 Early Dating Scan fee applies from 9 weeks, or the £88 Early Viability Scan fee under 9 weeks. If you already know you are 9 to 11 weeks pregnant, the Early Dating Scan is the right choice; under 9 weeks, choose the Early Viability Scan.

This scan is most suitable from 12 to 14 weeks of pregnancy. The scan is gentle and transabdominal (over the tummy), and sits within a calm, deliberately non-clinical scan room with up to 9 guests welcome to share the moment. Not yet 12 weeks?
